Ideal for use in high-risk exposed areas, GRT’s all-in-one sediment control solution can be quickly and easily applied with minimal soil preparation required. Once dried, it is immediately effective, binding the soil to prevent the impact of water and wind, as well as erosion from sheet flow flat surfaces, batters, and stockpiles. Best of all, its formulation allows it to be used in the most environmentally sensitive environments.
In addition to stopping erosion, our sediment control and water clarification range is designed to remove suspended solids from water holding bodies such as sediment basins, ponds, and storage dams.

GRT: Floc CC – Utilises coagulant technology to chemically treat water causing suspended particles to combine together (coags). Works hand in hand with –
GRT: Liquid Floc – Long Chain Polymer technology that grabs the coags and drops them out of suspension. This 2 pronged attack on dirty water is also pH neutral so water is safe to discharge into downstream receiving waters.
GRT: Floc Blocs – Floc Blocs are solidified blocks that incorporate the GRT: Liquid Floc technology that can be placed in table drains that so water is treated as it passes over them! Perfect to “set and forget” on the inlet to onsite sediment basins.
GRT’s water clarification, sediment control and our erosion control products are non-toxic, so it is safe for land-based and aquatic native fauna and flora, livestock, and crops, and can be used as part of any erosion and sediment control plan (ESCP).
Almost 45% of all soil in Queensland has some sodic properties. Sodic soil is the term given to soil that holds sodium – a cation (a positive ion) – that is held loosely on clay particles in the soil.
High sodicity in soil causes clay to swell when it’s wet, and the clay particles move so far apart that they disperse. This, in turn, weakens the aggregate in the soil, causing collapses, and closing off soil pores. Sodic soils are particularly vulnerable to most forms of soil erosion and can affect the infrastructure of roads. Soil stabilisation is a vital component of successful road construction, and considering bitumen and concrete produce a lot of runoff, necessary steps need to be taken with stabilising soil in road construction.
In mining and exploration activities, the natural drainage of the land is interfered with as roads are built and digs undertaken. Disturbing the soil can cause environmental issues like erosion and silting of waterways. Mining exploration requires the development of hundreds of kilometres of roads and tracks, and because of this, soil stability and erosion prevention is a vital component of ensuring environmentally safe mining works.
