Saving natural and non-renewable resources
Little or no coal or quarried rock is used during the construction of GRT roads. All GRT roads utilise in-situ materials, meaning less mining is required to generate the materials needed for conventional roads.

As little or no external materials are required fewer trucks are needed, meaning considerable fuel savings can be found, as well as a dramatic reduction of congestion.

With fewer truck passes and less need for concrete, coal, crushed rock, bitumen or asphalt, greenhouse gas emissions are greatly reduced. Also, GRT roads can be constructed up to 75% faster than conventional methods, resulting in fewer emissions over the length of the project.

Quarrying for roads has negatively impacted many significant sites around the word. As little or no external materials are required in the construction of GRT roads, the need for quarries and mines is greatly reduced – alleviating pressure on the local environment.

GRT roads can be made and maintained salt water. This is especially beneficial to coastal and desert communities, where salt water is readily available. Furthermore, the polymer solutions formulated by GRT have an accumulative effect, greatly reducing reliance on water for dust suppression and soil stabilization.
